| This happens right before the Windows XP welcome screen would usually load. I can log on in safe mode, I've tried using different RAM, I've taken the VGA out, updated drivers, cleared cmos. Does anyone have any other suggestions? |

| Hi. I've never gotten this error message except when I had suspicious RAM--very cheap, bargain RAM--in which case, it happened quite often. Check out this site for some more pointers: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL - TweaksForGeeks I don't understand why it's only happening in regular mode, and not in safe-mode too. The only thing I can figure is that in safe mode, not many things are loading at startup (and therefore your RAM isn't being accessed as much), and errors in the RAM are less likely. That's just my best guess. If you've recently modified your computer in any way (either by adding hardware or software), it might be best to revert to the last stable configuration--again, either in terms of hardware or software. Let us know what you find. Good luck.
