| I recently did a registry edit to where my computer goes back to the last working order. It ended up dong something to where my WOW won't work saying Directx 9.0 isn't installed. But my computer still has all the files. So I have many questions. 1. How do i undo this registry change? 2. How do I install directx 9.0 even though it is already on my computer? 3. How do I find and delete all files that are needed so i don't have two of the same files on my computer? This is for when i reinstall directx 9.0 4. How do i install directx 9.0? I have it and it says that there is a failed copy of a file and it exits without installing. I know that if I remove all drivers my compouter doesn't restart and i end up reformatting my machine. 5. If you think I should be asking more questions let me know! |

| Hmm - did you back up the registry? Making changes to it without being absolutely sure what you are changing can cause major system failure. You might want to give System Restore a try.

| I did a system restore and it still does this thing. It says there is critical registry errors and corruption. Visit some website to fix. Then you visit the website telling you to buy the software to fix your computer. Of corse I didn't do that. Next question is: Is there a way to check for errors and to fix them? |

| Actually, if your computer is telling you to buy software, it's likely some malware has infected your computer. Windows does not tell you to purchase software - it must be some program. It could also be causing other problems on your computer, to make you try to fix the problem in the hope that you will purchase the software.

| I would suggest running Spybot Search and Destory it is a spyware remover. And see if that fixes your problem.
