| You don't need to use the "Safely Remove Hardware" option unless you enable disk caching [or as Windows calls it, "Optimize for faster performance"]. It's best to disable this - it's really designed for hard drives and can shorten the lifespan of flash-based devices - or damage them completley. Generally, unless the icon appears in the system tray, then you don't need to do this. As for checking for Bluetooth - go into Control Panel [Classic view] and then double-click the "Bluetooth Devices" icon. If your laptop has a bluetooth radio, then a device will be listed there.

| Nothings listed under devices so no it hasn't got one then. Not really a problem. What would be the best way to transfer my data from my computers hard drive to my laptop? The computer doesn't have an ethernet port so can't do it that way also it doesn't have a dvd writer only a cd rewriter but I've got about 10gb's of data to transfer over so burning 700mb cd-rw's will take awhile but for some reason some of my cd-rw's seen to fail when being writtern too, might be because they've been left laying around on my desk and have loads of scratches. Only easy way I see is getting an external inclosure for the hard drive and transfer through usb that way. Will that way be the best? |
