Default MSI 5.1 surround sound help!

I have an msi k8n neo4 fx motherboard and i had lost my driver CD and i wanted to hook up my new theater system. now my mother board comes with 7.1 audio built in and i have got everything set up for 5.1 surround sound the rear speakers work and the front and sub woffer work but the font speakers don't work and there are hooked in to the line out in the back of my motherboard

I have checked the cables and everything is plugged in right
I realized i need the drivers so i went to the msi website and installed the 7.1 drivers that were supposed to be on my dr4iver cd but my front speakers don't work it actually my line out that doesn't work

how can i fix my line out because the other sound channels work
please help

Hi azoute-tenchi, welcome to CompuForums. I hope you can visit us in the future.

This may seem simple, but have you checked your volume controls?

Just right-click the speaker icon in your task bar, select Open Volume Control, and then go to Options and select "View Advanced Controls".

If you can slide up all the sliders check your sound system and get back to us if it works or not.

Hope this helps,
Ashley

Quite often here it turns out the simplest solution is the one that works, which is why it's useful to know everything you have tried. When we haven't been told what you have tried then we have to troubleshoot the problem somehow.

Try this download from MSI, since your motherboard's sound chipset is made by Realtek.

Yeah maybe your right it could be somthing really simple. and i diden't really be clear. but i did check the volume 7 miles back.
and i tryied the c9 realtic audio driver but it diden't work either.
i and i also relized my computer doesn't play sinth but i think sinth play out of the lineout speakers.

I can listen to music loud with my sub rear and center speakers but when i play F.E.A.R. i can't hear my gun shooting and it just bothers me enough so that i can't play it.
