Default Gaming (Wireless and Wired)

I have always wondered what is the difference between wireless input devices, and wired input devices, in terms of performance. To tell you the truth, I have never noticed the difference in responce times, in terms of wireless, and wired.

Now, in your opinion, do you think gamers are making a big fuss on wireless and wired keyboards?

Also, since the Xbox 360 will be released with wireless controllers, do you think this will impact the gaming community?

Post your thoughts.

Default RE: Gaming (Wireless and Wired)

the downside about wireless is that the response time is a tad bit slower than wired. You might not notice is everyday apps but in gaming, its frustrating that your mouse doesnt move as quickly as you want it to. The thing with the Xbox 360 is that the controllers change frequencies every second so that there is basically no lag between the controller and the receiver.

Oh yeah the wireless game controllers are going to be the new thing to take over gaming.

i would rather play console games with a wired controller. dont want to be playing COD2 in a critical point and then the battery goes flat.

i do like the wired controllers but if you have a 32 inch lcd tv set up as your gaming "monitor" its hard to sit that close so i just use a logitech wireless mouse and keyboard.out of all the mice and keyboards they usualy have the best response times. works great.
