| Toshiba Satellite A205 I have all power settings set to where the monitor should never turn off under any circumstances, yet it still think its closed. The backlight will shut off randomly. At first, I thought it was the inverter, but upon opening it, I found a little magnet that controls the backlight. I kept messing with it, and after a while I can get it to work, and I opened up the area in which the magnet contacts to clear out any debris which maybe blocking it, but it still turns off the backlight randomly. Actually, I can't seem to find any sort of device that connects to the magnet. The magnet's position is above the lcd in the center. If the back light is off, I can continuously run the magnet back and forth across the area in which is contacts when its closed to get the backlight to stay on. As of now, I have the magnet completely out of the laptop and is sitting on my touch pad for future issues. Any ideas on how to fix it? |
