Default connecting Flash Drives

I was wondering if there is any way to have several flash drives connected at the same time and to have them act as one drive. My thinking is that I want to try and make a cheap solid state drive by connecting saveral flash drives to a usb hub and have them work as one drive. If anyone knows of a way of doing this or any other ideas please let me know.

as far as im aware there is no easy way to do this, infact im not sure if its possible at all. how big do u need the drive to be? you could consider buying a larger flash memory stick i.e. 8gb or there are even some bigger ones out there. another member of CF may have other idea's but as far as im aware what you askin is not possible but please forgive me if im wrong

I don't think it would work - I have 2 plugged in and can access both, but as seperate drives. How many GB were you wanting on this multi drive?

It may be possible but how? It needs some research work. Working on it. If done then will reply to this post. Good question anyway.

If it is at all possible, it won't be cheap. Even mass produced 64gb models will run $1000 USD. you would be far better off getting a bunch of usb drives IMO
