Smile How to connect Wii/PS2 to computer monitor?

hey everyone, i've been looking for a way to play my Wii and some other things on one of the monitors i have in my room so as to be able to play them when other people are watching the tv in the living room. I know there are expensive converters out there but really i just want to be able to take my rca video cord and have that go into my computer. My friend adam has a tiny little switching cord that his dad had gotten from taiwan for seven bucks that does it so i know they are out there...if anyone can help me i would be most appreciative!!

im sure there are better ways than this but i have a tv card installed in my computer and it allows me to connect my xbox to it and view it on the monitor. The card only cost me £15 and came with a remote, it seemed the cheapest way around this. But im sure somebody else will be able to suggest a more practical way of doing this.

now i'm questioning my own method. i just realized that the picture i posted is of a male vga adapter. a female adapter would be needed. maybe an adapter for the adapter? hmmm.

i don't think he wants to run it through a computer. it's got to be possible without going to taiwan.

hey thanks for all of the help everyone but the problem is when i try to connect my wii or ps2 into my monitor using the VGA to RCA adaptors i get flickers and at othe times i get no image at all. I remember a guy at best buy telling me that has to do with different refresh rates and the like and thats what the little box does. And yeah i don't really wanna run anything through my computer just simply from the station to the monitor. If anyone has any other ideas please keep posting and i thank everyone for their input so far!

You got an RF converter? that does not change refresh rates, it changes the Radio Frequency.

This is a very common problem with things like DVD players and most older TV's. It is a good way to get you to buy more hardware, and act as a copyright enforcer at the same time.

From a site that has more info: RF Frequency Converters Information on GlobalSpec
Quote:
RF frequency converters are integrated component assemblies required for converting microwave signals into lower (or intermediate) or higher frequency ranges for further processing. They generally consist of an input filter, a local oscillator filter, an IF filter, a mixer, and frequently an LO frequency multiplier, plus one or more stages of IF amplification. RF frequency converters may also incorporate a local oscillator, GC/gain compensation components, and an RF preamplifier
