Default Printer Toner - Original vs Compatible

Hi, I am currently looking to buy a toner (black) for my HP laserjet 1020, and I've compared prices of the original and compatible, and noticed that the compatible toners are around $30 cheaper. (compatible toners are recycled i believe).

I was wondering, which version should I get? (i.e. are there any disadvantages of getting the compatible toners?)

thanks

Check the warranty for your printer - sometimes using a non-original toner breaches warranty and if you have any problems with your printer you may have to pay to get it fixed yourself.
