Default Graphics Tablet ?!?

i have been doing some saving, and i now have some cash. i was looking for a graphics tablet (i hope i put it in the right section of the forums), anyway, it has to be OK quality, not one of those cheap and tacky models. if possible, i would like it to have a screen on it on which you can see the image you are working on... or something like that. unfortunately, i haven't a huge budget, but if possible, could you kind fellows at compuforums recommend any which fit. i will decide if i can afford them or not (and if i can't get one with a 'working on image' screen for my reasonable budget, could you please tell me of the cheapest ones with these screens on... they will probably be out of my price range, but may not be).

thanks

P.S. if you require further info (except budget), i will reply.

Check out both of these links. The first one has different models and of course pricing ranging from $50 to over $2500. The other is a good read before making a purchase as far as getting the right one for you. Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist more.

You'll probably find the best deals on eBay - just review a seller's feedback to see if the products they are supplying are of an adequate quality.
eBay.co.uk - graphics tablet, wacom, wacom tablet, a4 graphics tablet items at low prices
If there's an ASDA near you, they often sell Trust graphics tablets at around £20. I'm not sure about the quality of these, but generally Trust gear is usually good quality stuff.

cheers ash, i shall check ebay...

just one last thing... does anyone know the cheapest (there abouts) tablet, in which - like TOOL mentioned - there is like a screen which can be lifted and you can put an image underneath it? this would be helpful.

thanks

I have a wacom that I got from my dad when he switched to a normal mouse. I have a real mouse and that hooked up. I normally just use the pen attachment for hand written messages in msn.

i would be using mine for tracing and drawing animations/pictures on photoshop/paint... or another program. i guess i would need a pretty decent one to do all of that.

Your right that would have to be a pretty good one if you want it to do all of that so I wouldn't recommend one from argos not just because their overpriced but also because they are not very good quality.I hope this helps.
