Default Also looking at monitors

I'm comparing the following LCDs. By specs it appears that the Samsung is best. Any comments on the reputations of the three companies with thier monitors.

Viewsonic Q22wb 22" 900/1 contrast ratio, 5ms response time, $240

Acer AL 2223w 22", 800/1, 5ms $240

Samsung 216 bw 22", 1000/1, 5ms $259.

I'm using a samsung SyncMaster 913v, and it is very, very good.

Never heard of Viewsonic. Acer could be OK., I have an old Acer monitor, and its held up for a long time

I'd say go with the Samsung - their monitors are usually very good. Viewsonic's stuff is OK but I've not used it myself. And if Acer's monitors are of a similar quality as their laptops... I wouldn't dream of buying one.

Although acer might not have the highest quality of laptops, they are a company that has made monitors for a while. And I have had a few acer monitors (none recently) and they seem to work fairly well....Had one that started getting really blury on me after 9 years, but hey...that isn't too bad...especially since it is a 13in CRT monitor...so not too useful anymore anyhow.
