| How does everyone else choose to backup their home computers? I have personally lost a few hard drives in the past and I now make sure to have backup software running on a regular basis. I have two 200GB drives setup in external cases with network connections to them. I then backup all important files to those two drives. I'm nowhere near capacity on the drives but it's nice because they can be accessed from anywhere on the network. It's very convenient and it was a breeze to setup. How about everyone else? I'm interested to hear what others have to say about this subject.

| I keep all of my important files on my trusty pendrive. Also, I use the Google Browser Sync for Firefox. And I burn my photos to CD/DVD. Anything else, I don't mind losing.

| "we dont backup, we store" ok so what we do here is we dont backup anything, but instead we mirror whole systems. so say if my dads pc gets infected I can just reinstall and then re link him the the sync server. the sync server stores the files, the workstation keeps the backup. so there is always atleast 1 copy of your files somewhere on the network, as to their wereabouts you cannot tell, it depends what workstation you use when with the sync server. confusing, but works fine, we only loose files if we delete them, we have not lost a single file due to reinstalls or software errors since this system was configured.

| I do something similar to you PC.Mark. I have a program called V2i Protector that can create images of the entire hard drive (like ghost) but without restarting the PC. The backup runs nightly and is stored on a NAS drive. |

| hmm, I have to say I just mirror my network, to a network exactly the same in my spare room pretty much. But the two headless devices in the spare room are unix boxes with Samba running. Aint lost a file yet so it must be OK.
