I have heard a lot of talk recently about second life. It sounds really quite intresting and im tempted to give it ago. But i have been told by lots of people that it is so highly addictive and that you will spend so much time on it. I have even heard of people that have had bad situations in real life as a result of playing second life. I think they mean that they confuse real life with second life and it causes problems. I just wondered if any CF users have tried it and what is it like? would be good to get some different opinions of users who already use second life

I haven't played it in a while, but I used to play it a lot and it was fun, but pretty slow. And I don't think people think they can fly just because they can in Second Life. You can build objects and program them in the game, and make Linden Dollars and spend them on stuff you don't want to build. Unless your PC doesn't meat the requirements, I say you should try it.

hey is second life any good, i have seen it on TV an stuff... but i don't know any one that has played it... is the programing in hard? what language dose it use...

If you let a game take over your life then you shouldnt be playing games at all basically. Isnt this the game online that is kind of like the sims? but you pay actual money to buy stuff in game for your person?
I dont like games like this but it was on the news not long ago yeah, looked stupid.
But thats just me, hope you all enjoy it

Shermanpk: Yes, the scripting language in SL is hard. It's called Linden Scripting Language (LSL)
megatron21: You don't need to pay real money for stuff. You can get something called Linden Dollars(L$) by playing games and doing things for other people.

Well, it's pretty much a virtual world. There's no actual "goal" to it. You just live a life. Buy land if you can afford it, make money, spend it on cool futuristic gadgets - It's pretty much the same thing as real life on a computer game (Only it's in the distant future) Well, after a while, I got tired of playing because no one would give me money, I didn't have all the stuff I needed to make money and couldn't afford it, and the only other thing you could do to get money was slot machines(It's not illegal, it's L$, not real money) Also, my computer kept getting slower, making it harder for SL to run.
