T.V Cards

Hey,

I’m going to college soon and getting one of them pokey student rooms, and i need a few things........

1. A TV Card for my computer which can receive digital TV (free view) Best recommended?
2. A connection from my X-Box360 to my computer monitor.

This is so I can use my PC for my whole entertainment system.
O and in Belfast I’m a little nervous about asking to flick over to a GAA match in the common room

Firstly, will you be able to post in threads other than your own?

Secondly, there are many PCI cards that you can get that just pop into a spare PC slot - many are available on eBay. However, you'll want to check the signal strength where your student room is, and if you have access to a communal ariel plug.

As for the X-Box, you can get adaptors that let you convert the X-Box360's HD output to standard VGA signals.
Here's an adaptor, again listed on eBay:

If you don't like buying off eBay, you should be able to pick these items at most independent PC/gaming stores, albeit at an inflated price.

I just meant that if you could simply make posts other than ones that relate to your problems, not asking if you could post in other tv tuner theads with your question...
