Arrow Guild Wars

K recently i bought Guild wars Installed it played the tutorial then closed it for dinner came back opened it up now every time i open it my whole computer restarts. So i was like k my 1gb memory will arrive soon. It arrives i install it and my comp still restarts every time i open it. So i order my video card. It'll be here in a few days but i was wondering if you comp didn't meet system requirements as mine doesn't now should your computer completely restart or am i having another problem. My video card should be in by Friday/Saturday but i was just confused why it ran good for a while then stopped any ideas or is it just i don't meet minimal requirements right now?

Generally if you have any hardware that isn't sufficient to run a game, the game simply closes to the desktop (CTD). The computer shouldn't restart unless there is a hardware failure--which could be happening, but I don't have enough info to say. Do you get the blue screen of death (BSOD) that flashes just before the reset? If so, disable the "automatically restart windows" in the "Startup and Recovery" window in the system properties. Now, the computer should display the blue screen with error messages--write them down, then google them. Likely you won't understand anything in the message, but generally people have documented a lot of the windows errors. That should help you pinpoint the problem.

A lot of times installations go awry, and sometimes the game will run just fine, and other times you won't be able to run the game at all--in that case, you should try reinstalling the program. That has always fixed it for me--I had to do that with BF 2142, and it worked just fine after the reinstall.
