I got 2142. It's sssoooooo awesome. I love the future-war aspect as well as the gameplay. I can't get enough of 2142.

I like it and I play it a lot, but honestly, I was hoping for something more than just a BF2 mod/skin. I don't like playing online that much ('cause I don't have the time or skill to play against humans), so I downloaded/installed the unlocks 'cheat' that unlocks all upgrades--that's kinda nice--having the weapon choices that should be there from the start. The computer is pretty stupid unless it's on half to full difficulty though.

I'd say that for endurance, the best kit to play as is support--never run out of ammo plus you have the awesome shotgun. But if you plan on dying quick (and hence not worry about running out of ammo), the recon kit is awesome with the unlocked upgrades.

But nothing beats climbing in a car and mowing the enemy bots down. That's always amusing. Or speed ahead at full throttle at an enemy vehicle and bail out just before colliding so both vehicles blow up and eliminate the enemy bots in the other car. That's always a kick.

2142 prob one of the best fps's its just got so much teamwork and strat, also for u RTSers out there u can be a commander which is bitchin

i haven't tried this game yet, but with the good reviews here i might just go pick it up. i'll let you know what i think of it later.

I have 2142, I was in the hype of playing it for a little bit...but it got kinda old, kinda fast. I think it was a bit too repetitive.

hell no, especially with all the unlocks, its never gotten old for me. the games so nonlinear. I suggest you invest in the cloaking device, ive had hours of fun just running around with the cloaking device and a knife, man ive gotten so many knife kills
