Default Polite comment

I realise that its very important for users not to just take from the community, but to contribute as well.

I have just joined and on 27 Oct, posted a comment in someones thread regarding what ISP to use.

I made another entry to my thread I joined with on 30 Oct and received this reply:
pdwheeler - if you don't mind, it would be nice if you could post in a thread or two that isn't your own or become a premium member - doing so keeps this site open. Since it is solved, I shall now lock this thread.

I was surprised at this and was just wondering what is the norm in posting?

I try to post at very least once a week, but I check the forum everyday.

The only thing is that I spend a lot of money on keeping this site running - I'm at a loss. If the mods, regular members and I are the only ones replying to threads, we have no motivation to continue to run this site for free while there is a lot of money to be made in paid technical support.

Good & fair comment! Perhaps you could put a little more pressure on more people to become a premium member. I personally wouldnt mind spending a few dollars to contribute to this forum.I know technical support doesnt come cheap. Its what I do for a living... with mainframe computers.

A very fair comment, myself, I reply to threads as much & as often as I can, it makes great sense to do that.

Mmmm, I don't think so mate, have a look at some others, we all have our own rhythm, as a mod on on my other forum I made over 10,000 posts which only worked out to between 9 & 10 a day, I joined nearly 3 years ago, in July 2005.
