1. I think CompuForums should get a shoutbox. I think this would be a good idea because it's a fun way of talking to others without having to post.

2. I also think there shoul be a private forum called "Recycle Bin" for all of the spam posts. This would keep the forums clean by not having all those deleted threads. All we'd really be doing is moving the spam threads to that forum so we don't need to just see "Thread Deleted by Ash" or "Thread Deleted by Ultra_Man" or whoever deleted the thread.

1) We had a chatroom before when we had fewer members and it was never used. However a shoutbox may be better. However it may also mean less posting on the forum, so it will probably only be usable by members with over X amount of posts. My main concern is people posting their computer questions in the shoutbox, which would mean people won't be able to see them on the forum.

2) I'll set up a Recycle Bin forum soon. I know IPB has one by default. I will see if there is a mod that will automaticly move threads into there as soon as they are deleted.

Ash, we don't need any type of mod that will do that... We could just move the thread to the recycle bin without leaving a redirect. On other forums I moderate/moderated, they did that.

Shoutbox's are really for forums that don't have questions being asked in them like online communities, users or members would just post there questions in the shoutbox and other members would have to run about tryin to find the shout.

That's my main concern with getting a shoutbox - members will simply use it for computer help - so when someone else has their issue and searches for an answer, it won't appear, because it was answered in the shoutbox.
