As has been said, for your first site using a service like Geocities or Freewebs will make it easy for you, if you don't mind the ads [Freewebs tends to have less]

However, it really is vital that you learn HTML. You might want to try out a program like Nvu which is free and lets you design pages just like typing a letter - and then you can edit the source code with a quick click and view the HTML.

If you want a quick forum, there are plenty of free hosting sites like Invisionfree which allow you to quickly set up a forum. Again, you will get a few ads.

And of course, we'd love it if you could put a link back to CompuForums on your site!
Once you've learned all of these things then you can look into more professional solutions.
