Arrow How many times can a hard drive be formatted?

It seems that a lot of people on the web are asking the question "How many times can a hard disk be formatted?"

Well the answer is: As many as you like. A hardisk has no limits on the amount of times it can be formatted.

Of course that does not mean that you should/could reformat it every day. All hard drives fail eventually [however the hard disk or the computer it is inside will often become obsolete before], and if you reformat very frequently [like once daily] it will cause premature failure of the drive.
