Microsoft no longer support Windows 2000 Proffesional. I think it is highly unlikely that they will provide a trial from their website.

A good idea might be just to buy the whole OS off ebay, this would be relatively cheap because it is becoming old. I have to admit out of all the Windows verisons 2000 Pro is my favourite. I regret upgrading to XP, I should've made the move right to Mac OSX. But if I had to stick with Windows, Windows 2000 Pro is the way to go at the moment. It is very stable for a windows OS. But it is very unsupported now.
