There is actually software available for locking folders - just google 'folder locker' and you will see them. Some have free trials so you can try before you buy but I don't think they are worth the money. Other options for 'hiding' data include: (a) set up a yahoo or hotmail account and email the files to that account; or (b) change the folder properties to make it hidden then toggle between showing and not showing in Folder Options. Option (a) is okay so long as you remember to check into your account at least once a month, or whatever the requirement is, or they delete all your mail! Option (b) is also okay but you have to remember to switch to 'do not show hidden files and folders' each time you log off or the next user will still be able to see them. Personally, I use a mini flash drive 512Mb as it is so simple to use - you can password it so if anyone does get hold of it your data is pretty safe.
