I'm new to this forum but not to computers though. A few other suggestions that might help are to try running some anti-spyware applications. It's possibly you have some bad form of spyware on your system that is preventing the virus from being removed. I suggest Ad-Aware (lavasoftusa.com), Spybot (safer-networking.org) and even CCleaner (ccleaner.com). CCleaner is not an anti-spyware program but it will help to clean things up. It also has a feature that allows you to uninstall programs similar to using Add/Remove Programs.
