Hi there and welcome to the forum. I hope that you browse the forum and post in other topics.
Firstly, I removed your e-mail address as you are e-mailed when somebody replies to your topic by default. Also, posting an e-mail address on a public forum can get spam.
Secondly, it is a good idea to back up important folders onto a CD or memory stick.
I am not aware of any good software that password protects and prevents a folder from being deleted and I do not recommend using them - the security is easily bypassed. I always back up important files on my memory stick, and since they are pretty cheap these days, I suggest that you get a memory stick or back up your important files on a CD/DVD.
