When in doubt experiment........... The four pin plug usually goes into the mobo near the processor unless some idiot tech issued a TD (technical directive) giving instructions on where it goes. Usually newer boards only have a 24 pin connection, and run of the mill production board use the path of least cost analysis (POLCA).
