SEO goes I think the things you've listed here are pretty well rounded. One thing you might want to look into is nichebot. They give you a one dollar 14 day trial and you can search their database for high demand/low competition keywords which you can then use to optimize your forum. I would also recommend reading some of Michael Campbell's techniques on his site and listening to some of his podcasts. I really get a lot out of them.
