School network at home So now that I am done with school and home for the summer, I've had time on my hands. And today I came up with a crazy, crazy idea: virtualize my schools network on VMware. I want to find out what a Linux machine would be able to do to the network. Does anybody have any ideas or tips to make this idea go smoothly?
And I'm installing three XP SP2 machines, two of which have restricted accounts, one that in an admin, and one Ubuntu 8.04 machine. Installing Bess smart filter, Sophos, Safari, IE6 (Maybe 7 for my enjoyment).
Oh, and how would one go about blocking Firefox/Opera from accessing the internet? |
