Default Help needed with User Registration on Website

Okay,

I know what im trying to achieve but im not entirely certain how to go about it. I want to be able to have a regestration option and log in option on my website.

I know that I will need a mysql database to handle the user date etc.. And im guessing something could be written in php to do what im talking about, but i dont much fancy coding this in php and also i dont have the time to do it either.

Is there an easier soloution to this? I know there is the option of CMS (Client manager Software) but I literally only want to use the members option to welcome the members by name and to also display sites not viewable by other guests. So im thinking maybe CMS is a bit above what I need.

Any help or advice on this would be fantastic.
