Go into your Motherboard BIOS and select what drives will boot your new OS. For example, it it's CD/DVD, you add CD/DVD. Pretty easy stuff.

Insert the disc and hold F8 (It's F8 for my acer Aspire) and choose which drive to boot your OS from. If you have the XP disc in, it should be pretty easy from there.

It will prompt you to format your C Drive which WILL get rid of Windows Vista.

This is how you would go about doing it on my Laptop though.
