Can't delete a folder. I recently completed my new desktop and loaded it with Windows Vista Home Premium. I then purchased the Belden transfer cable and copied all the files and folders from my old XP computer to the new Vista computer. The new computer picked up some problems that came from the old system so I decided to re-install Vista on the new computer and not do a transfer. When I did this the installation program took all the old files on the previous installation and stored them in one giant folder named windows.old. The new computer performs beautifully but that folder is sitting in there occupying about 13 Gig. of my hard drive. I'd love to delete it since it is of no use to me but the system won't do the delete (won't go to the recycle bin). Is there a way to remove this folder? Thanks in advance. |
